Born from a passion for motorcycle racing, AGVSPORT began in 1985 as the official apparel licensee of AGV Helmets, crafting protective gear trusted by riders worldwide.

Mat Mladin

Mat Mladin is a legendary Australian motorcycle racer, best known for his unmatched dominance in American road racing. After winning the Australian Superbike Championship, Mladin moved to the U.S. where he made history by securing seven AMA Superbike Championship titles—a record that remains untouched and is unlikely to ever be matched. Known for his fierce competitiveness, technical precision, and relentless pursuit of victory, Mladin’s legacy has cemented him as one of the greatest superbike riders of all time.

California Superbike School

AGVSPORT is the official leather of Keith Code’s legendary California Superbike School, supplying riders with premium protective gear since 1989. As the official leather suit of the school, this enduring collaboration stands as one of the longest-running sponsorships in sport of motorcycling. Max Croker

Pictured to the left is Max Croker, a talented young Australian racer handpicked by Mat Mladin to compete under his Australian Superbike team. AGV Sports Group has a proud and enduring tradition of supporting emerging talent at the earliest stages of their careers. Over the years, we’ve stood behind future legends such as Ben Bostrom, Eric Bostrom, Tommy Hayden, and Loris Capirossi—champions who began their journeys with AGVSPORT leathers.

How it all started

The AGVSPORT brand was born in 1985 from a transatlantic collaboration between Gino Amisano, founder of AGV Helmets in Italy, and Michael Parrotte of AGV Sports Group in the U.S. With AGV already a legendary name in helmet safety worldwide, the two companies set out to create premium motorcycle apparel that offered the same level of innovation, protection, and racing pedigree.

Combining Italian designs and craftsmanship with American innovation, AGVSPORT quickly became a favorite among top riders in AMA and Australian Superbike series. From custom leather suits to pro road race gloves and boots, the brand has been dedicated to performance, safety, and style from day one.

Our Fitment Guarantee Program ensures our customers receive gear that provides proper mobility, protection, and performance—when measurements are taken by an Authorized Measurement representative or through a Virtual Measurement Session by video with our office. This industry-leading guarantee reflects our commitment to fit and function, but it does not cover specific non-safety-related preferences or cosmetic concerns. Please call for specific details.

Warranty

We offer up to a three-year warranty on our high-quality custom leather motorcycle road race suits, ensuring long-term protection and confidence for every rider. Hand crafted with precision and built to endure the toughest track conditions, our suits are backed by one of the most dependable warranties in the industry, we have you covered.

Materials

Our high-quality custom race suits are built for serious riders who demand the best in protection, comfort, and performance. Each suit is handcrafted using only the finest materials, including premium cowhide or lightweight kangaroo leather, SAS-TEC CE Level 2 armor for superior impact protection, YKK zippers for durability, and DuPont™ Kevlar® reinforcements in critical areas for enhanced abrasion resistance. Every component is carefully selected to deliver maximum safety, mobility, and longevity on the track.

Standards

Our high-quality custom leather race suits are engineered to meet the highest international safety standards, including CE Level 2 requirements and AAA Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) certification for professional-level protection. Select models are also available with Motorcycle Federation of Japan (MFJ) certification, making them eligible for use in MFJ-sanctioned racing events. All CE Level 2 armor used in our suits is independently tested and certified by Ricotest Laboratories in Italy, ensuring world-class impact protection and uncompromising safety on the track.
